Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Clipforge ("we", "us") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Clipforge service (the "Service").
Information we collect
- Account information. Email address and authentication identifiers when you sign up.
- Connected platform credentials. OAuth tokens you grant us for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, stored encrypted and used solely to post content you have queued.
- Content you provide. Source video URLs, uploaded video files, and generated clips. Source files are deleted after processing unless you enable clip archiving.
- Usage data. Logs, device/browser metadata, and analytics needed to operate and improve the Service.
How we use Google user data
When you connect a YouTube account, Clipforge requests the
youtube.upload scope. We use this access solely to upload videos
you have queued to the channel you selected. We do not read your other videos,
analytics, messages, or subscriber data beyond what is required to complete an
upload. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Our use and
transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google
API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To post clips you have authorized to your connected accounts.
- To communicate with you about your account and the Service.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service (hosting, storage, transcription, AI inference, billing) under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
Retention
We retain account information for the life of your account and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations. Source video files are deleted after processing unless you enable archiving. You may request deletion at any time by emailing support@clipforgeapp.studio.
Revoking access
You can disconnect connected platforms from your Clipforge dashboard at any time. You can also revoke Clipforge's access directly from your Google Account permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure; please notify us of any suspected vulnerabilities at security@clipforgeapp.studio.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notice.
